Wear what makes you feel good

I feel good in this outfit.  I wore it to a family gathering last Saturday night.

The boots are a bit dressier than my suede brown casual ones seen here.

They have a little heel on them but are still super comfortable!

I like the vibrant color of this top.  It makes a statement and brightens things up!  There is my big brown belt, as you've seen here before.

I like a shirt that's a little long sometimes.  When it hits on the mid thigh like that you get a slimming effect to begin with, then pairing it with heeled boots makes the legs even more long and lean.  It's an optical illusion, but hey, I like it!
Top:  Goodwill ($3.99), Necklace: gifted by mom-in-law, Jeans:  Express (the same ones from a lot of pics, they are such a great base for so many outfits!) ($35 on half-off sale).  Boots:  DSW clearance ($29.99)

I pay more for things like shoes and jeans because I'd rather have a good fit and a durable item than one I can proudly say I got cheaply but that won't last.  Ya know what I'm sayin'?  Eventually I'll expand my collection of pants.  Right now it's mostly jeans and skirts that fit me right!

Anyway, dressing in what makes you feel good really does make you feel good.  All I needed for this outfit to get those factors that make a difference for me, (i.e. the length and color of the top), was go to Goodwill and find it.  I was lucky, but if you get to know the colors that look best on you as well as the basic fit that most flatters you, you can shop with that in mind and perhaps not miss that great piece that will allow you to create a "feel good" outfit!

Hope your day is swell, friends!
